once you realise the ONLY allowable facets of steve are 'avenging' and 'being straight' it's soo obvious...

no subplots devoted to brooklyn? his single mum? catholicism? dysphoria? disability? PTSD? re-connecting with bucky? struggling in the future? being a fugitive? grieving??? none?!

I get that Chris didn’t wanna do these movies anymore, and that’s his prerogative, but these writers chose the most uncharacteristic, anti-climactic way to write him out of the story. They no homo’d so hard that they broke the plot.

I really can't blame chris either; looking at the kind of stuff rdj got to do in both his movies and the broader mcu (a whole PTSD subplot just because he was in space for 20 seconds?!) it really is upsetting how poorly the other headliners were treated in comparison... it's so mean-spirited

They messed with the character arc so badly that non-shippers and shippers agreed on how badly it was handled.
