I don’t think the ones using ChatGPT are that distinct a group from the ones who paid someone on the Internet to write their paper in the past… or the ones who submitted essays, they were basically just copy paste from Wikipedia

its a sad statement but I think this is actually encouraging. last spring a third of my college freshman used it on their final paper. i wonder if numbers are just higher for college students?
