My Sister’s dog does the exact same thing when she grabs his lead to go for his daily walk, he thinks he is hiding and nobody can see him, he’s such a big teddy bear, I think he forgets he is a dog and dogs love going for walk’s - Not her dog -
My cat use to do that; she was shocked when I pushed back the sheer curtain. She could be so motionless, that you wouldn't recognize she was right next to you. I think she was magic.
