That's the way it is in my family. When I started having to deal with questions about why my older brother was ginger and my baby sister and my baby brother were brown, my dad said, you tell them "because fuck you". I did. Spent a few days in detention in school for it but it was worth it.
Innocence, kids are taught, so you've taught them we're all the same, no matter the color, some teach that whites are better because of their skin color, you did a great job, well done.
Yep. In NYC, a preschool study was done where one school monitored recess/free time and they made kids include everyone in all games, they didn’t resist. They embraced it, it took the pressure off what they thought they were “supposed to do”.

It’s on This American Life/NPR. I don’t know what they called it but I think it was paired with a mom who saw that her black son was constantly being disciplined for normal kid behavior that no one else got in trouble for.
