Just rewatched this recently and was struck by how the brothers didn't try to perfectly mirror one another. They were doing the same moves, but within individual flourishes, like two musicians improvising over the same jazz riff.

just awestruck. I was thinking the age of this film I am not sure there was any formal training for black dancers back when. so New Orleans style refined? Alvin Ailey was the first black dancer to have a pro dance school for the black dancers I went to a show, and just blown out of the theater.
