I expect he will get out his HoC writing pad & "send a letter". He was quite keen on that approach when first elected. Not sure the recipients took any notice, but his voters felt noticed. Interesting to see how the £600k will eventually be spent if not on his enquiry.

I would say that "the sweeping Pakistani-bashing of Rupert Lowe, when he fantasises about 'deporting whole communities', has crossed the line from legitimate scrutiny of perpetrators & complicit to stoking prejudice, encouraging the toxic racist fringe who target all Pakistanis for 'remigration'

It is not defamatory to talk about "the Pakistani-bashing of Rupert Lowe" when he has tweeted "if whole communities need to be deported then so be it" while advocating an inquiry limited to perpetrators from one ethnic group, excluding similar group-based gangs from other majority & minority groups

It's disgusting. All perpetrators should be under the spotlight. But his crusade against specific communities is factually incorrect, in genuine bad faith and racist. And his crusade only stokes the divisions which he then calls out between communities. It's disgraceful.

This society was too slow to act on child abuse. Cultural factors included a tendency to look away & fail to sct - in Asian communities, in Catholic and Anglican Churches, in care homes & sport. Lowe had a part in Southampton's inaction & negligence on one of the two most notorious cases in football

I’m amazed at how many stupid people are still sending money to right wing parties .
This money is essentially an unregulated financial gift to the party ‘leader.’
I do hope HMRC is looking into this boost to Rupert’s income .
