So look—I am not as strong as I was, and my hair grew back horrible, I have a gnarly scar and my right pectoral muscle is gonna feel weird possibly forever.

But I’m still alive. Even though it sucked.

Thank you. I needed this so bad. I was already determined to haul myself through whatever hell is coming out of sheer spite, but framing it in terms of a fight I’ve already won (NOT cancer, chronic illness including autoimmune disorder) helps SO MUCH.

My hair is so very weird right now!
Even knowing it was likely to happen it was a surprise (when it fell out and when it came back curly and I wish I could think of a clever election analogy but. )

I went through colorectal cancer. The chemo for that doesn't make the hair fall out, but it does make it thin, broken and lackluster.
I just wanted to let you know that after three years my hair is finally thick and healthy again. So have patience on that account

So were mine. Dry, straw like hair. Nails breaking and brittle. I had to start wearing nail polish which I absolutely hate.
Then three years after the last chemo, I suddenly realized that both my nails and hair were back.
So yours still might get back to normal. (It just takes like forever)
