Schumer had a deal w/ some republicans who would vote against the CR. Then, DJT’s hit team “had a talk” w/ them, they folded & would vote lock step. There would be no negotiations, close the government or go along with awful CR.

Insiders revealed a plan of possibly opening gov’t in Sept. or never.

So many hating on Schumer. I felt the same way.

Though, he was between a rock & authoritarianism. There was NO GUARANTEE once the government shut down, that it would ever open again. Schumer was given this info, Wednesday night. So many NOT getting paid. It would’ve been a gift to Elump.

The maddening part about this is that nobody is asking him to resign from the Senate or not run for re-election. We just want him to resign as minority leader. He can still be in the Senate voting with the Democratic caucus representing New York. He'd only give up $19k in pay, from $193k to $174k. 👇🏻
