It is indeed. Manhattenhenge is seen at sunset to the west in May (when this was shot). Not sure about the other time of year it happens as I don’t live in NY.

Beautiful pic! We were in NYC for the July Manhattan Henge and I tried! But it was overcast that day. Managed to grab a great shot of eldest daughter tho. And now that I look closer you can see the setting sun peeking thru! 🫢
Amazing shot! That’s the perspective I wanted but the 199 other photographers that got there before me had other thoughts lol. Might have to go back to get this.
I was there early, but apparently not NY event early. Every pro with a 200m+ lens and a tripod weighing more than a dirtbike had been camped out for hours before I showed lol.
