It’s unreasonable to expect & assume that peace is an entitlement given, especially during these tumultuous times. They want peace, but are not willing to ensure it.
"Distress is a valid emotional response to injustice...
I never agreed to live in a burning home (the US) while the people who should care (Congress and the MSM) pretend the fire doesn't exist."
It didn’t used to describe us…check out, if you can find, West Virginia coalminers asking JFK questions during his primary campaign in 1960…it’s so very sad how dumbed down this country has become.
… and the leader: „As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more + more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” (Mencken)
I had an appointment with a new doctor and had a lot of questions about a new medication she wanted me to try. She told me it was so refreshing to have a patient with questions since most of them just ask her to tell them what to do and they just do it. I think about that often.
They’re about ready to lose all their cherished comforts because they had the luxury of voting against their own self interest for decades. Karma’s gonna be a bitch.
I don't think there is anything wrong with this sentiment
China is a perfect example
But the Trump administration is taking away ppl's material comforts
I don't think there is anything wrong with this sentiment
It applies to current situation in China perfectly
But the current Trump administration is taking away the ppl's material comforts
That's not going to go well with the population
Uh
Yeah
Come on
Uh

This is probably at least partially true. Many people (not just Americans) are like this. These are personality traits, not necessarily American traits.
Nobody has a bigger sense of entitlement than Americans. And nobody is less aggressive about protecting their peace than Americans. Open your eyes & look at the rest of the world going to great lengths to protect/defend their rights, to protect their peace, to avoid a dictatorship.
As someone who has been a global nomad for 30 years and been to every country in the world, your statement is 100% correct. It’s a statement, not an opinion. The entitlement is through the moon. Thats why Americans have some torturous days ahead.
It was made this way by the republican party over the last 4 decades. Had they invested more in education and given more opportunities to the poor kids, the next generation would have been more critical thinkers. But the politicians don't want that, do they?

But we have, generally, been ok with burying our own history instead of facing it.
