I made a mistake here. Did not notice that the WH graph was depicting an *annualized* growth rate. By this calculation, the real wage growth rate under Trump would be 1.6% annualized for the first 5 months. Biden's first 5 was -0.5%, since he inherited the COVID recession....
...Obama's was +0.1% (not -0.3%). He inherited the Great Financial Crisis. So, I guess the lesson is an incoming president should hope to inherit a Democratic economy, not a Republican economy.
