Our 15yo cocker did start it when his eyes started to go. Better safe with a little leap than to risk a step & tumble, I guess. When he went nearly then totally blind though, we had to put up doggie railings because he started leaping off the top step.
💕thanks. I’ve got a makeshift ramp now to avoid the launch from the 4th step.
There’s also one other step up he can’t judge anymore and he ties to launch himself UP that one 🤷♀️
If your pupper starts doing it in the house or if you have steps they have to navigate, night lights & the solar yard lights help a TON. Gives them landmarks they learn to trust & makes them feel more secure ❤️
Now I wonder how vets check dogs eyesight, it's not as if they could ask them to tell how's the E turned, also dogs tend to hide when something's wrong so even if they could, they would be lying.
😊. Well my vet said that she could see that Jacques’ lenses and that there was movement 🤷♀️ so the cloudiness he has wasn’t cataracts. But that’s all we know.
20/10 As someone closer to JD’s age in human years, I can say this is beyond impressive and might require some Advil when he lays down tonight. I come by this info honestly.❤️❤️❤️
My late guy Minet. Regained his acuity after I rescued him at 15 and started doing this 20-40 times a walk, over all stripes and lines. This is him at 16 as well.
I think JD is being grossly undersold with a rating of 13/10, if anything he's a solid 15/10 and deserves all the treats and belly rubs for still bringing his A-game.

Gosh, I look forward to these posts daily.
Have a great day
"You see that!?"
It’s so cute to watch but it’s not normal
Depth perception problem?

Give all the treats.
“Did you catch that? I didn’t even slow down”
That's an impressive jump for an older Dog, and they are still just as cute as when they were younger. 🥰
he’s got it, so he’ll flaunt it
with a side of sass
