i don't have bad things to say about their pitching development in general. clearly a separate thing from the monstrosity that is hitter dev. but i don't think they've served him well by jerking him around so much

Certainly. They would’ve been better served telling him to remain a reliever (an opener at most) and not stretching him out to 70-80 pitches.

If that required more bullpen games in April, so be it.
