I want to study new openings now that I've hit 1000 ELO.
My main repertoire with white is normally the English or the Queen's Gambit and with the black pieces it's the Caro-Kann vs e4 or the King's Indian Defence vs d4.
I'm thinking about learning the Italian game or the Vienna next

I'll definitely look into it and the theory so thanks for the suggestion 🤝
Definitely for both. I feel like I'm weaker with the black pieces so a new opening is something I'm exploring
I do remember writing something short about prophylaxis in chess and how it can also be used in football terms for defending. It might bring some of my motivation back
I haven't tried the King's Indian attack before so maybe I'll look into it! Thanks
