I hear you, but I’ll also say that some of us are getting extreme pressure from inside our own chain of command. They too know it’s BS, but the writing is on the wall that there are likely terminations and RIF coming on the heels of this. And so they are saying we should at least try the DR.
They wouldn't be "offering" it if they don't need people to voluntarily give up their rights.
Even if you think you're 100% getting unlawfully terminated make them do it, but also it's probably not actually 100% likelihood, which is why they are trying to get people to resign.
My husband is going thru the same thing. Stick it out and make them fire you. That gives you access to severance packages that they have to pay and unemployment benefits. It also allows you to sue for wrongful termination if you have a case.
That’s still the goal. I’m holding the line in spite of the pressures. But many of my colleagues are completely unaware that all of this is dubious and I think they might fall for it.
