Not sure if I really define myself as a communist. I'm wary of labels and I don't wear badges. But I'm also about as far left as most hard leftists go, and I've absolutely no faith that our current 'democratic' system is ever going to be capable of effecting real change.
I've resigned to the fact history is a very slow slog towards progress with many small periods of attempted fascist revival.
Only way we're going to see the world even get close to socialism in our lives is if we wipe out rightoids en mass somehow or do insane levels of propaganda toward youth.
Yes but we also need to work on programs that actually heal societal wounds at the local level and build the trust in the cause & inspire the unradicalized

I seem to only be growing more confident that if we ever actually try to do any communist stuff they will just start shooting us in the face and as long as McDonald's is still open the majority of American voters will cheer it on. Which genuinely does make it really hard.
