Whatever the total counted as protesting, it probably doesn’t include all those supporters waving and honking their car horns as they drove past on their way to jobs or events they had to be at—-they were great!

I lean toward @altnps.bsky.social numbers. Not for sake of larger numbers, but for the sake of not just using registration numbers and such, which would seriously underestimate the totals.

@altnps.bsky.social also pointed out on Facebook (and probably on Bluesky) that the actual number isn't as important as the fact that millions of people showed up.

This isn't just a handful of people with a gripe. This is a movement. 💪 🇺🇸 💙

That’s an excellent point nerdy and I agree ☝️ but the more people who protest 🪧 then the more coverage we receive from both print and TV media outlets so I’m hopeful that we can get to larger numbers which will reach a for larger audience

I think that's right although the figures are downgraded when Googling the number of protesters or on MSM.
I had to unfollow and block someone who argued that @50501movement.bsky.social was making up the figures. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
