My mom spent most of my life talking about how insane trans people are and how "we should stop trying to cater so such a small number of the population".
And now I'm trans and she hasn't been able to use my proper pronouns still because "it's just so hard for her" because 🧵
"she's known me for so long" despite two of my siblings who have known me their entire lives being able to do it since the first week I came out as trans.
I don't understand how people can choose to spend their whole lives full of ignorance and hate. [End 🧵]
That is the reason I waited until after mom and dad passed. I knew they wouldn't be able to do it. Out of all my living family, only two have a problem with me transitioning. I see them once a year.

I'm sorry. Glad at least most of them are supportive at least
