Mucha was famously very religious. I doubt very much that he’d be ok with the idea of outsourcing what he believed to be his god-given abilities to a computer program was in line with those beliefs.

The “museum” rightly points out that Mucha was very forward thinking when it came to technology. But in his case, it was use of photography (a fairly new tech!) to create reference for his paintings and lithography to make his work more accessible. not the outsourcing of creativity to an automaton.

I actually think it was just for clicks. The museum account only has like ~500 followers. It seems to be run by Alphonse’s great grandson, who seems like kind of a doofus who’s hanging on to his famous g. Grandpa’s coattails for dear life.
