No but I would challenge that there is no “the talk”. I would encourage parents and caregivers to give multiple talks. I start having different sex education talks with my children as early as 18months. Like what their body parts are and consent.

i nodded, he stammered and ended the conversation.
a few years later i knew from movies what condoms were, but i asked my mom. she said "a sheathe for your penis."
he asked "you ever beat your meat?
i said, "uhh what's that?"
he said, "you know? knock yourself off the toilet?"
that was the end of that talk.
those were my sex talks and aside from health class, that was it.
