Which is normal for the Old Guard. They're a special unit that does things like this. They also provide the guards for the Tomb of the Unknowns.
What's NOT normal is all the tanks and shit and EXTRA Soldiers that were shipped into DC for this bullshit. 1/2

The Old Guard does a lot of parades, but only, like, a platoon's worth of Soldiers (about 20-30). And the military portion is never the sole focus of those parades.
