Something to add to my #AdminLaw syllabus on Due Process

This small Louisiana town of about 226 people runs largely on traffic fines, bringing in over $1 million per year.

If you try and fight your ticket, the town mayor – responsible for town finances – is your judge

You probably have examples closer to home. Mayor’s courts appear to be exclusive to Louisiana… and Ohio.
