Unpopular-ish opinion:

Just because video game companies are "not your friend", that doesn't mean they hate you. They are not here to be your ONLY friend, they are just doing their jobs to keep gaming alive for EVERYONE. Companies are not that rich kid with logo heads. They are a group of workers.
