Majority of people work hard. But your generation was able to own a home and save for retirement off of one income. Most of us bust our balls on 2 incomes and can't save.

Both things are true. That's how much things have changed between your generations. No matter D or R presidents, it's gotten continuously harder to make ends meet, much less get ahead. Citizens United.
Now that is a fallacy. Most people of that generation had both people work before kids and save money. Then they went into high debt to buy a house - usually requiring a long commute. They have very little besides house. Didn’t eat out, didn’t do expensive vacations, cooked from scratch. Simple
