By content consumption, I mean, I watch anime and youtube, answer emails, edit documents, and other "non-unity/blender tasks".

Installing it, especially Debian distros like Mint and Ubuntu, is definitely easier than its ever been before. And I'd definitely recommend dual booting if you can so you can always switch back very easily if you decide its not for you.

I feel that. My laptop got updated to Windows 11 without me knowing and i was like "welp, I'm not about to deal with this, time to try something new"

I use mint for my streaming pc/NAS and it works great and the UI always looked so smooth, but I haven't really tried daily driving it till now.
