You can see how they’ll frame it by the proposed bill in South Carolina that seeks to prosecute women for miscarriage with jail time and abortion as murder with the death penalty. The vague language around at risk” is intentional so they can prosecute at will for most reasons.
Ironically, I can answer that. Women who are already parenting while living on too little money, women & girls who wanted to avoid this pregnancy but their state made it structurally impossible for them to access effective contraception. Raising the question: why won’t Missouri solve those problems?
A study of women who were turned away from abortion clinics because of laws regulating abortion, compared them to people who got the abortion that day, over many years. They told us why they were seeking to end that pregnancy & data shows they were right about the costs of continuing it.
This is a state legislature. To your point, however, someone referred to states as “the meth lab of democracy” and I’m starting to think she was right.
Women shoulder a lot of responsibility in the world. We’re busy. When we rise, and we will, these attempts at oppression will become a distant memory. ✊🏾
Did they? Some will cling to patriarchy until they are safe without it. How many regret their votes? Were they Ignorant or submissive? If they chose submission, they had no moral right to choose it for every woman in the state.
Yes. Don't complain about the things that piss off magats. That's the only way we have a chance. It just has to come quick before it all becomes normal. Fuck it all up NOW. Hurt maga NOW. Take their rights and put them in Gitmo NOW. Kill their jobs NOW, not 2 years from now, when it'll be too late.
Fuck trump, his administration, his family, every single one of his apologists in government, business, and media, and every voter who looked the other way or drank the kool aid, fuck them all. And, Missouri too…
The natural & necessary upshot of fetal personhood is state monitoring of pregnancy. They’ll need something like a “State Bureau of Birth Enforcement” to administer the system & enforce against women & doctors.
I doubt the women of Missouri want this. They may not be allowed to say their opinions or vote with them but no one wants to be tracked or prosecuted for a miscarriage.
If they can. Many are trapped in religious, controlling relationships and congregations. Even so some will vote for more subjugation. It’s heartbreaking.
Women who are "at risk" just won't go to the doctor. Great way to drive up infant and mother mortality and back alley abortions. Hat's off to ya, Missouri! Can't wait for my home state of OK to follow suit with an equally stupid proposal.
They don't care. Also, the mortality rate won't exist if that entire department is fired. It's just like trump said about covid, if we stop testing them we'd have very few cases. He's a mass murderer.
Only at the beginning. If there is one constant, it's that they always start with what they think they can get away with, then expand into the previously untouchable.

I hoped "congress" covers state and federal.
This is what they voted for.
How would they monitor these women to ensure they don't get access to abortion services?
We turned over and went back to sleep.
