What is undoubtedly Maresca's fault is the fact the entire team is physically and mentally knackered by 60 mins every match. As opposed to Poch - where fitness levels improved

I normally admire managers for showing loyalty and defending players. But it's gone too far with Sanchez.

Dropping Sanchez one of the reasons Poch lost his job, and picking him one of the reasons Maresca was given the job with so little experience. He is Winstanley and Ben Roberts' man, and Maresca, by and large, has played who he has been told to play and isolate those he has been told to isolate.

That was probably right. However I think even Winstanley and Roberts must get it. Ultimately I suspect Sanchez maybe the difference between top 4 or not.

Petrovic was stop gap and he made lots of errors as well. Funny considering the fact Kepa is actually ballin now. I mean yeah defensively we aren't the best in the league but Sanchez doesn't offer any assurances at all at the back.

Agree. A dysfunctional side is rarely down to an individual. I've seen Chelsea fail from Hurst to Porterfield, Scolari, AVB, etc etc. It's always a managerial thing and always will be. If they can't fix it then it to be changed

The team in general is poor, some players not back tracking, Manager not brave enough to drop Sanchez, clearly Sanchez needs a break from playing, he is making too many errors, and at this level it is not good enough.

Agree. Also Sanchez's confidence must be rock bottom because of this faddish requirement for him to be a sort of playmaker. He gets grief for dodgy passing but that's what he's being asked to do.
