Really like slice of life stories in a world where diapers are just slightly less embarrassing. Just enough that it’s not completely unexpected or unacceptable for you to fill your pants, but you might get some snickers and teasing.
The ending place is always nice, what I like is when the journey into feels accessible. Like something that could happen. But as long as the writer feels passionate and know basic grammar, it usually ends up being worth the read.
Believable for sure. Maybe it's a little bit too intense to be fully relatable, like hypnotic regression/training by a dad/dom. But it's something that could happen to someone theoretically
But the slice of life relatable where I can self insert is also super nice
Magical stuff is adorable, I love stories and fantasy cause it can be completely divorced from reality like that. Cursed sentient pamps that torment the wearer by being impossible to remove + unpotty training the wearer + can control everything below their waist as a puppet, lol.
i'm a bit split, on one hand i like more grounded realistic stuff, but on the other my mind was poisoned early on and i have alot of affection for the trope of "normalized/assigned d/s role world via government mandated test or omegaverse style "dom/sub is a essentially a secondary gender"

for my own personal amusement, and with some prompting from a friend, I've been slowly writing my own version of this trope mainly revolving around all the world building I've come up with in my mind that would come from d/s relationships being a normalized part of human social evolution

Absolutely need something relatively grounded but a touch fantastical XD. Like I don't like things like diaper dimension because I'm not really reading ABDL fics for the diapers.

I really always like character studies and horror in my media and that extends to my favorite abdl work, I need something that lets me get in their heads as they fill their pants and get those big complicated feelings XD.
Like fundamentally I want something that can both make me horny and knock the daylights out of me with it's compulsivity, I want the literary equivalent of meth lmao.
I think it depends on who's writing the stories. With the stories you write, you have this excellent way of taking things that are grounded and relatable stuff and making them really kinky and little-ifying.
Depends on mood. Sometimes the soft storm caretaker taking over someone’s life and turning them into a toddler is nice, but also having a dom destroy someone so completely they become helplessly dependent on the dom and their diapers is also nice.
Slice of life, grounded but accepting. Where it's not unusual to walk down the street and see people walking their human pets or adult toddlers. Where it's not only acceptable, but common to sign yourself up for kinky getaways for sometimes long periods.
I have a very lucid imagination, so i like something relatable enough that i can see it happening, but with enough wish fulfillment to keep my attention
aside from that, i do like when things are character-focused, learning how different characters incorporate diapers into their lives willingly or reluctantly, their dynamic with others, how they view themselves, etc. there's so many angles and aspects to explore on a personal level
Oddly enough I found Magic to be a pretty large turn off. Skips a lot of steps in explaining what’s really happening under a convenient catalyst of just “poof it works”

I think my favorites usually end up being either really normal or really fantastical. College student dealing with their deteriorating continence? Sweet. Run afoul of a witch and cursed to fill your pants and do toddler stuff? freakin' sweet
Love this, it really helps soothe the inner voice that nags (dare I say) most littles and says (your cg is just indulging your weird quirk because they like you and don’t especially enjoy babying you)
I like curses/diaper machine because I love the absolute lack of control. You'll wear the diapers, whether you want to or not. Also, love the idea of someone who is being an absolute jerk getting diapered against their will, comeuppance is soo hot to me.
