Does any1 else find it bizarre that no1 says this for other services? imagine if u made someone retile ur bathroom for purely aesthetic purposes then complained 2 the contractor about how much it cost and guilt tripped them about how u couldn’t afford meals. And then said they should work for free

That's why when someone complains that they can't afford my drawings and I should draw for them free, I tell them that they can pay me by painting my walls and helping me put on tiles.

Naah it was always like that, the general public has always looked down on creatives (among other types of work) without realising how much they contribute to loads of things, like their clothes, games, car seat fabrics, furniture, books, TV shows, music, omg the list is eternal!

It's a disgrace. People never respect that creative labour is actual labour, which is often difficult and demanding
