I wonder how many of the MAGA "alpha males" were bullied as kids. I'm betting it's a disproportionately high percentage compared to other groups of U.S. males. The same way the Christian right has the highest divorce rates.
I totally agree with your sentiment! I didn't mean to empathize with the maga males as much as to poke fun. They seem to be people who feel weak and vulnerable and deal with that by developing a swagger and a attitude of superiority that is unwarranted.
Until I know someone better, I take what they say at face value and respond accordingly. That made me somewhat vulnerable to sarcastic trolls in the beginning, but I usually can sniff them out now.
