I think Yacht Club should continue to develop their own awesome original games, but if they *really wanted to* they have the love and skill to make an incredible Zelda II remake

I played through it and beat it when I got my hands on the GameCube collection. I'm glad I'm able to say I beat it once but I don't think I've ever wanted to play it again. Haha.
But I did on the Switch so I could show it to my wife. What a fool I am.
also, with a guide and save states / rewind Zelda II is actually pretty playable for anyone with a bit of patience so maybe it doesn’t necessarily *need* a remake??
Haha You're fine! I'm one of those weirdos that absolutely LOVES Zelda II, the original, no save states. I've played through it countless times and loved it every time.
But I'll also be the first to say, I don't recommend it to anyone. 😅 I guess it either clicks with the player or it doesn't?
Just listened to an interview w wayforward where they mentioned they were working on IP that is both new to them and that fans would be excited about, releasing in 2026. They said it hasn't been announced yet but 2026 is Zelda 40th anniversary.
Specifically not their own IP, they're partnering w outside companies. They seemed really excited to be working on it, whatever it is. Might not be Nintendo but the way they phrased it means there's a chance it is.
