He's being pretty honest here. Again, swapping out Erskine-Smith for Gregor Robertson on housing feels like an own goal for Carney; swapping Erskine-Smith out entirely feels like a mistake.

I was convinced this was a move that NES had quietly asked for, maybe as part of a bid to challenge Crombie in the OLP.
Now it just comes across as Carney listening to the absolute worst people he could have listened to, which is always what brings down Liberal PMs.
If you want to invest heavily in housing you need to understand how municipal bilaws restrict that build. Who better than a former mayor to break down those barriers?
I'm interpreting this as Carney demonstrating his intentions to us, and that we should listen.
What’s next? Carney will bring in Christy Clark to advise on AML policies?
I just hope Gregor Robertson has learned from his many mistakes.
