Privatization of publicly funded Medicare and Medicaid, managed care, and “value-based payment” have failed to reduce cost or improve population health despite over 30 years of trying, and a new paradigm for health policy is needed.

Yeah it’s been bullshit all along. Give the people what they actually need, stop padding the cost of care with profits for “managing” it. Poverty kills, and building profit for insurers into that poverty is the nail in the coffin.
Of course its a profitcare scam like medicare dis advantage scam plans that baits our Seniors because most are poor cant afford to have 100% comprehensive health coverage !
It never ceases to amaze me that so many countries have been able to make single payer work and yet here in the US it is simply impossible. It is only impossible because in this country healthcare is a nothing more than big business tasked with protecting the bottom line.
Racism is why, plain and simple. Each time it has been tried, opposition to it was based fundamentally on not wanting blacks and other minorities to have the same quality of care as white people.
It's time to nationalize healthcare and cut these for-profits out of the picture... They have a strong lobby and deep pockets and will need to be fought.
Its OUR money. We need to be spending more of it on ourselves instead of warmongering around the world and feeding greedy "insurance" companies.
May is not over and protests continue. I will have two new protest songs for June. I have to admit they put me into a slight depression which is why there are two. It was hard to find the words for the chaos attacking Democracy and ALL people residing in America. https://youtu.be/tklD9g5qvRQ?si=I_Fv0ZOJLYusbIDO
Privatization of M’caid and M’care basically just puts an additional layer of skimmers into your healthcare. Their profits come from making you jump through more prior auth hoops, and financially penalizing hospitals and providers for not following restrictive rules and timelines. Wring the dry rag!
Why doesn’t big business want to untether themselves from providing healthcare? Someone should make the ‘increase your bottom line’ case to boards of directors til they get one to flip on it. Others will follow. When capitalism starts demanding something, capital hill will move mountains for them
We have to get over our fear of Regulation and enforcement to really see a positive change in healthcare. We have dug ourselves in such a hole with just the provider side that nationalized clinics and hospitals might have to be a thing to turn healthcare around.

That's why they don't fix it, it makes them too much money.
