That’s a different but sort of similar thing applying to digital games only. By syncing with a member in your Switch family, you can lend the license for a digital game that you own for a limited time. During that time period you won’t be able to access that software as if it were a physical copy.
That part makes sense. I guess I’m just wondering that when you download a Switch 2 game, you use that cart as a key or license so you can play a game as long as you possess it. Otherwise, lending it to someone else, you’re out of that game despite the data being in your system until it’s returned.
