Are there people who enjoy "DJ X"? I don't fking believe it. No one could possibly want or enjoy this experiance right? What do people get out of it? What are they supposed to get out of it? Who thinks radio DJs exist only to announce the artist name and genre of the music you're about to hear?

I want radio DJs with stories, the times they met the artist, a history of the riff, where they were when they first heard the song, a history of where it fits in the genre, bad jokes, good jokes, a tendency to sing over the chorus, life, personality, humanity FFS!

It depresses me that there are likely young adults in the NYC metro area who never tuned into a late night show and heard DJ Green Lantern (or whatever the name was) key in his mic to jubilantly yell his name over the shitty part of a good rap song.

Also, I don’t want a better algorithm for music discovery, and I don’t need an app that does stuff… I’m here on Bluetooth playing a playlist through the speakers on my record player, and what I really want is to talk about music with my friends.
