NYT doesn't believe in context. I really want you to grasp that.

It’s very strange that this article on the staffing issues at Newark Airport doesn’t mention the fact that DOGE fired 400 FAA employees a few months ago, and union officials warned about exactly these kinds of shortages.

My theory is they didn’t like Clinton and feel like the GHW Bush incident with the grocery line bar scanner was unfair.

The editorial thumb in the scale since the early 90s has always gone one way.

Did they at least mention that there's a deliberate plan here to undermine the FAA so that we have to give Starlink/Musk a big fat government (welfare) contract for him to control revamping the technology? Even though attempts to modernize the FAA were already proposed, but Republicans killed it?
