President before the two parties started undergoing an ideological switch heading into the 20th century. That switch was mostly completed by WW1 though holdout Dixiecrats were initially against accepting the party name change.

Yes. I say republican because that's the voting block they're under, but you're clearly seeing under the hood. It's the hubris and cruelty of conservatism that presents the greatest threat. It's racism first, misogyny second, and both at once, drowned in greed.
