Here's the end of April temperatures at the Rothera research station.
Appears to have been a bit balmy down there recently. Persistent warm north wind last couple of weeks.

Temperatures at stations along the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula are probably more a consequence of the lack of sea ice than its cause. During the late 20th century that coast was one of the fastest warming areas on the planet as the sea ice extent and duration offshore declined.
