I have learned from experience that some people react to a problem with "okay, it happened, now how to we fix it?" and some with "*he's* to blame." The latter tend to be republicans, and to come in clumps. If you haven't encountered them, good for you. Meet one and you tend to meet a bunch.

The living environments around dams would have adjusted when the dams were put in. Dams place 4 the survivaI of people. Living environments can adjust rapidly as has been noted from the aftermath of the Mt St Helens eruption. Pulling the dams out meant a destruction of those adjusted environments.
