in the au, they were childhood friends and both took skating lessons together (bakugou was a ~prodigy~ and a little shit about it lol) but when they were around seven, Izuku's dad got a job in canada and both Izuku and Inko moved with him

Katsuki was really upset with this news and that translated into anger and lead to a falling out between them and they lost contact as the years went by

Meanwhile, Inko made friends with other parents in the neighbourhood who all had their kids in hockey so she enrolled Izuku in lessons too!

Years pass and he’s still got the same love for it, and he's real star player. He’s scouted and joins a junior hockey league, plays for team canada in world’s and eventually gets drafted to the nhl

Some time later, he’s invited to join the reality tv show, battle of the blades, (dancing with the stars but with hockey players and figure skaters) which is where he’s reunited with his old figure skating childhood friend👀
