LET'S ARGUE: give me your current day destiny takes, questions, unpopular opinions, anything that you'd like me discuss or respond to and i'll grab a few and make it into a video. could be very recent stuff, small things, big things, whatever you want.
(yes, straight up yoinking fantano's format.)

2. Roll your hands and fingers all over your keyboard randomly
3. Pray that what you typed formed a cohesive sentence
It's ridiculously easy to charge and lets you bully enemies in any way imaginable
It's wild.
Counterfeit was not that bad, and should not have been nerfed so hard, there were better changes that could have been made.
Whoever complained that crafting made seasons feel like "checking off items on a list" has never enjoyed the simple pleasure of checking off items on a list
1) PvP is a snowball: the good are too good and genpop could improve but the gap makes simply not playing less painful. It needs to "casualize" before it can get elite again.
2)A monthly subscription model would solve a lot, but untenable community expectations make it a non-starter
The largest problem the game is facing right now is caused by the DCV removing Story Missions from Red War, CoO, Warmind, Forsaken, and seasons, destroying the ability for new or returning players ability to seamlessly return.
The biggest strength of long term successful MMOs (especially something like FF14) is all of the endgame remains viable.
Building systems that can grow instead of being replaced or cycled is key to what Destiny actually needs.
The thoughts of hoping for a pinnacle in the right spot puts me off playing completely.
Grinding up 10 levels at the start of the season doesn't feel bad, except when you get three heavy weapon drops in a row when that was already at max.
People should be forced to make choices in their build and live with those choices. Hotswapping makes those choices meaningless if they can just be swapped away.
They chickened out on sunsetting. Should have just stuck to changing to the MMO style gear game (you get new gear each expansion).
The ALH/Recon nerf are fine.
Watching cutscenes without the proper context and gratification of playing will never be a substitute-
nice Boxor pfp 🫡
Wacky niche builds are the best part of every game that allows it
Unless the entire game receives a full rebalance to accommodate Frontiers weapons being an ACTUAL power creep, D3 is the only way to save the franchise at this point
+3% damage isn't gonna cut it for much longer
Instead they traded the long-term health of the game
This same pattern keeps cycling, poor sandbox/economy decisions made for short-term gains in engagement
There's got to be some poor designer at Bungie saying "I told you so"
Prime and the armor bonuses should have never left, and should have received a weekly Trials-like experience with adept loot and unique cosmetics.
It’s something new entirely now and nobody knows what’s what
I think I'd be nice to get intrinsic champion effects on all supers or at least barrier options to match our plethora of unstop options
Sentinel Shield/Goldie/Needlestorm/Silkstrike - Barrier pop as just examples
Bungie needs to chill out with the 15 perks per column BS.
A large majority of non-DLC story is delivered via characters talking to your face for extremely drawn-out times. As someone who is still only around because of the story, it's starting to get old. 😭
Halo forge came out when?!
Bonus take: wish artifact perks saved with loadouts
Difficulty is missing. Compare Onslaught Salvation to OG Onslaught; it’s night and day. Contest of Elders suffers a similar fate.
I’m hoping weapon tiers in Apollo fix this issue.
Is it a boring corporate thing? 🧐
put the luscient(?) hive in! the garden of salvation vex, I would be okay if Bungie spiced things up. shame that a mobile game has more add variety than a main title.
Would be cool to see what you would consider in your perfect Destiny 3. It would be a 3 hour long video if I made something similar lmao
uh
something
anyway-- primaries aren't wholly out of the game. see: exotics in high end. simply put, abilities and ammo are that abundant it pushes them out. back when we could run out of these things was when the game— (1/3)
even on BASE CLASSES the ability regen accessible is insane.
as for the super chaining, it's visible they attempted to kill it— (2/3)
in short, i'm not entirely denying primaries don't have a place; they do, but because of the way the sandbox is, they don't /right now./
GMs are it and they’re grandfathered into acts so they’re not even new & the power creep is so crazy, running GM moon BG last week was night/day compared to pre-TFS, that place used to be terrifying now it’s like wet paper
Perhaps a lukewarm take, but still.
Ignoring (or forgetting in my case) the light level increase, the rest of the game hasn't changed enough to push me to jump in each week. Weekly release meant I'd logon, do story then whatever else.
Put the craftable weapons in The CORE playlists, ie Crucible, Vanguard, & yes…even Gambit. But only certain ones in each mode, & they change every Episode/Content Drop. Give them one of each slot(Primary, Energy, & Power) but different weapon…
Vanguard gets a Primary Pulse, Energy Fusion, & Heavy Glaive that drop.
Gambit gets a Primary Smg, Energy Shotty, & Heavy Lmg
Crucible gets Primary Bow, Energy Rocket Sidearm, & Heavy New Mystery weapon type…
And doing this drives engagement in these playlists. But do the drops…
Anyways, sorry for rambling on like I’m talking about Pepe Silvia. Hope this made sense!😅
(Ketchcrash > Expeditions in Season of Plunder)
I would like to see the devs focus on one activity in future releases & build on it through the Acts/Seasons.
PvP is a lost cause until we get dedicated servers and ability spam gets reigned in
Suffering in Dark and Darker hr with nonstop pvp has humbled me. PvE builds can still beat pvp builds in gambit without much cheese or counter pvp. Same is absolutely not true in D&D
I can login to D1 and see bounties partially completed from years ago, so why is this still a thing 🤯
There would be no balance issues with a cooldown-less because because the skill floor for blinking effectively is high enough to keep the balance without the needless hinderance on movement flow
1) Destiny has swung *far* too much towards unnecessary complexity of its "busywork" systems since D2Y1. We have bounties, seasonal challenges, event challenges, pathfinder, etc.
I firmly believe that the D1 bounty board + D2Y1 daily challenges would be perfect.
Much like weapon crafting, it feels like they went half in and now neither feel great.
Raid and dungeons weapons shouldn't be craftable, because it diminishes the replayability
Bungie should lean more into the “soldier” identity for titans
Valuable player retention, to me, comes from making your game fun enough to be replayed for enjoyment alone.
Cosmetics can be RNG, but gear should have dupe protection.
Hunters also feel really rough to play in Solo right now. It feels like Bungie is so afraid of overtuning hunters that they don't have any builds that are juiced enough to survive long.
It's hard to be happy when all people do is yell
Give us San Fran, Tokyo, London, Sydney, and more.
Let us see what it looked like during the Golden Age while advancing the current agenda.
Power creep makes things boring, and they keep dancing around the real issue.
The community is and always will be the biggest hurdle
