Spot on. And the damage they do to our city pavements (and verges) is in the millions£. Try negotiating those pavements pushing an elderly relative in a wheelchair. You have to strap them in in case they bounce out

Pretty sure it used to be illegal to park on pavements. It seems to have become normalised.
If I have to squeeze past your shitbox left on the pavements I pay for I'll try really hard not to scratch the paintwork or break the wing mirror but I am a bit clumsy to be honest. 🤷‍♂️

This shit really irks me. It's illegal for good reason. Far too many people on the planet who have zero to negative consideration for other humans. Traffic police who drive right past this BS, especially when it's a truck forcing all the pedestrians into the middle of the road.

Here in Lytham double yellow lines means it’s a pavement parking zone for ‘blue card’ holders. Even 5 yards from a car park.

When I lived in the Teignbridge area, the council guys would sling the recycling boxes + wheelie bins wherever they liked, causing an obstacle course on bin day with no consideration for wheelchair users or mums with buggies. Any amount of complaints by me got guff and bad language from them .

Rule 145 of the Highway Code uses the word MUST which means it is an offence to drive on a pavement. Therefore unless a motor vehicle is craned or air-dropped onto a pavement an offence has been committed. It’s a problem everywhere but what are the police doing?
