It’s important that SLTs working with children with DLD know about the personal and environmental elements that can help or hinder the child to communicate. Check out Singer et al, 2024 in CLTT, volume 40, issue 3.
Children with DLD have difficulties with tasks that are dependent on language ability (e.g., academics). But they have strengths too (e.g., activities of daily living, gross motor) (McGregor et al., 2023). Let's capitalize on their strengths and provide support for their difficulties. #Devlangdis
