His autobiography, Born to Run, sat on my shelf for years. I'd see it, consider it, then turn to something else. I finally picked it up and wow... there are some books that just take you for a ride. It's almost like a physical sensation. What a journey he's had!
Can’t believe I’ve never been to a concert of his. Meant Clarence two months before he died at my liquor store in Florida. Always regretted never getting to a concert, but I will someday I hope they hang in there.!!
My daughter saw him at Sea Hear Now at the Jersey Shore... every other performer all weekend did a 40 or so minute set... then Bruce comes on and plays for 3 hours! And maybe because it was the Jersey Shore, he did almost every hit from his first 4 albums. She sent me clips. Truly Amazing!
The one thing I noticed... he's old.. like 70ish... where most musicians lose something... their voices get weak, they can't hit notes, they sound old... BUT NOT BRUCE! OMG, he sounded like he did in the 70's when he wrote those songs! Truly Amazing!
Amazing. Been following the boss for 45 years and he always seems to inform the moment. My girlfriend at the time turned me on to his music. Needless to say my relationship with the band outlasted my relationship with her, but I will always be thankful to her for introducing us.
Happy to follow ma'am. Personal journey started with The River in '81. Callow youth of 16 walked into the concert and young man walked out three hours later. Been on that train since. Most heartbreaking 4th of July was of course Indianapolis and Danny's last show.
I feel so bad about his health issues. I did hope he was maybe embracing a more non-binary look, but I think it's age, honestly. Hoping he can keep on rocking out.
