I was supposed to make banana cream pie to bring to my parents and we couldn't find the pudding box I needed for it. My husband turned the house upside down looking for it while I moved on to the other dessert and appetizers. Three hours later, he finds it sitting on top of the fridge🤦♀️
I’ve been checking things off since 10am yesterday. Pro tip: utilize child labor for peeling potatoes. It builds character and teaches them to keep their flesh out of the peeler.
I read a hilarious 'not always right' story this morning about a guy who got everything he needed on the Tues before Thanksgiving ... except a turkey. He came back on the Wednesday and they had no turkeys left. So he bought 20lbs of deli turkey breast.
Please, oh please… I would love more of your stuff on this platform. Also…. Can you ask your buddy @codytriesstuff to create an account here?? We X-ers would love that as well!
We got. A bag of red onions. I needed it for three different dishes. Several of them didn’t look good inside, though, and I threw them out. There wasn’t any left at the end of the day. That was close.
Last year the kids showed up and distracted me at exactly the time I was supposed to turn the heat down on what turned out to be a dry ass turkey. This year Martha's cheesecloth turkey gave me my title back. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy TG Chef. I had wife & daughter prepping everything yesterday, watched and made sure that no one mixed items with their hands. So much stuff, I had to put out an extra table in the garage. It's cold out there. 38°
I call it the brown and grey meal at my at my laws, even the green beans are covered with corn flakes and swimming in Campbell’s Cream of mushroom soup, it’s a salt lick.
BTW thanks for all you do Chef, def top three on my feed and bring me many laughs. Appreciated your Minnesota State Fair videos very much!! Happy turkey day.
We are doing “trays”. Each family has a color and that’s what is on their tray. Mine is green. Green bean casserole, Roasted Brussels sprouts with butternut squash and cranberries, poached pear salad, guacamole deviled eggs, ham and lime margaritas. I had a nightmare that I forgot to grocery shop.🤦🏼♀️
Yeah, ham and lime don’t go together. Poached pear salad was predominantly spinach, and we served green (guacamole deviled) eggs and ham. And the Margaritas had mint.
I’m THRILLED you’re here! I sent 2 tweets/posts & have missed ur creativity, reactions, snark, brilliance, & commentary/aversion to any moron attempting to use Velveeta!! I mean…yuck! Lol Robin

Had to do a last minute cranberry sauce run. >.<
Happy TG, Chef!
I hope that you’re able to spend an excellent day with your loved ones. 😃
Also, Oxford commas are quite useful. 🤭
That’s very clever and super adorable.
I hope you all had a lovely meal and happy Thanksgiving!
