What’s most egregious to me is that Trump is coming for the three girls in his fight over birthright citizenship. He would callously eject them from the country of their birth, the only home they’ve known- just like all of us born here

In Europe this wouldn’t be a question. The daughters would not be citizens just because they were born in France or Denmark. Only in America can you live illegally for decades and complain when the law is eventually enforced.
They’re legal.
This is why our Nation drafted a constitution that protects us from erroneous government whims. 14 Amendment, Sect 1:1.2 “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, & subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States & of the State wherein they reside”
Jodi, it is a fact that children born in France to two non-French citizens who are living illegally in France are not citizens of France. Same for Denmark. Truth not trolling.
Pretty sure she was indicating your false assertion that the children are not legal citizens & that the ‘law’ is now being enforced. But if what other nations do dictates what we do, let’s start with the fact that we’re the ONLY major country on earth not offering Universal healthcare, shall we?
Universal health care? You mean free health care. I’m not sure that a free health care system is a good system. We do offer Medicaid for the poor and Medicare for the elderly.
I never said the children didn’t have birthright citizenship in the US. They do. I tried to say that it’s not a good thing and would not happen in most European countries.

The children were never living here illegally.
