This might seem strange to others, but I actually played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe LESS than other Mario Kart games due to the amount of courses it had.
I played 8 on the Wii U for dozens of hours, but by the time the DLC started to release I was busy with work and other games.

When 8 Deluxe came about, I wasn't really all that keen on restarting all the progress I made on the OG MK8, so I really just played the original tracks I was already experienced on and kinda moved on.
The day the first Booster Pack released I had broken my foot, so I had to leave work and rest, without much to do I gave the new tracks a play, but was underwhelmed by them.
I gave each track one race, but didn't have the time or desire to learn and relearn like 90+ tracks.
There was just too much for me.
My friends are all worse than me at Mario Kart, yet I'm not as good as most people online, so I was consistently in limbo with MK8.
In the end, MK8D ended up being my least played Mario Kart overall, and because I haven't really played Mario Kart since the OG 8 in 2014, it's been REALLY fun to get into a new game!
The tracks feel fresh again, and I love driving around the world!
I'm never gonna be a Mario Kart fanatic, but I DO think this one is my favorite!
