The developmental science on Head Start is super clear that it is an insanely cheap intervention with massive lifelong consequences for the kids involved, and of course their families, their local economies, etc.

Mind boggling that instead of expanding access to high quality early education and childcare, esp when it’s so $$$ and scarce, they cut it (not really tho if they want to subjugate women…)
