This is very correct. It is the lie of the "fiscal conservative." If you need convincing to not vote for right-leaning policies, then you're not a progressive and never have been.

"Centrists" are just ashamed conservatives. There is no "center" because they never break away from conservative politics. Every breath you hear spoken about appealing to "centrists" is just appealing to conservatives who don't wear their red ballcaps. That's all it's ever been. It's why we're here.
