This is unfortunately accurate in many cases (I know exceptions, but this is often the takeaway). I would argue it's also the takeaway of most of evangelicalism's best-selling marriage and sex books (not all, but most).

I mean, after all, Every Man's Battle literally told women they were the "methadone" for their husbands' sex addictions. They literally said that--twice. It's not even hidden.

Every Woman's Battle said it even more plain by saying that if women don't put out every 3 days, they can't be mad at their husbands for looking at porn (while also reinforcing the belief that porn is "choosing another woman")
